US: Village Farms to ramp up production of Heavenly Villagio Marzano

Heavenly Villagio Marzano is an authentic Mini San Marzano tomato direct from Europe and exclusive to Village Farms. The company has been offering this new variety in North America for almost a year and has been sold out of its production since its debut. “We had a better than anticipated response to Heavenly Villagio Marzano from Retailers and Food Service alike so we will definitely be ramping up acreage for next season”, says Debi Street, Director of Variety Development & Innovations for Village Farms, “Chefs love it and Consumers keep asking for it by name. We are offering it now in a number of different packaging options that our customers love” Street continued.

A variety of mini plum tomato Heavenly Villagio Marzano is unique in shape and appearance with an uncanny sweetness providing an authentic rich tomato flavor.
