US: Atlas Produce highlighting changes at PMA

Atlas Produce and Distribution, Inc., a grower and shipper of exclusively California grown dates is excited to show off their fruit at the upcoming PMA show in Anaheim California.

The 2012 California crop is expected to reach 50 million pounds. A 15% jump from last year! "There are no finer dates available than California grown dates and one taste of our Caramel Naturel brand dates will make a believer of you too" says Robert Dobrzanski, President of Atlas Produce. "Last year was fantastic for our Caramel Naturel brand of dates, the #1 consumer brand of California grown Medjool dates in the US. Our retailer volume was up double digits last year and we’re committed to continue growing with our valued retail and foodservice partners in 2013."

This year at the PMA in Anaheim, Atlas Produce is going to highlight their new website; increased social media advertising and activities including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Pinterest; improved "greener" clamshell packaging on all of their products and membership in the California Grown program.

Atlas is also announcing an upgrade in packaging. The new packaging is Pet 1 and processed in a proprietary direct to sheet process that eliminates 5 stages of production.
