Ecuador: 60 kg of cocaine found in banana vessel

Tholen - The Ecuadorian army has confiscated 60 kg of cocaine on a banana vessel sailing under the flag of the Bahamas, which was loaded in the port of Puerto Bolívar. The illegal cargo was discovered in an export container of the shipping line Transmabo. The vessel was destined for the German port of Hamburg. The vessel was confiscated and will be further investigated by army and police to determine whether any more drugs are present in other containers. According to inspectors of the narcotics brigade, the vessel is property of banana tycoon and former candidate for presidency Alvaro Noboa.
