Moldova: organic vegetables will be grown in cooperation with Israel
Warsaw - According to the the information agency “news - Moldova", a new complex of greenhouses will be built in Moldova in cooperation with an Israelian company. Together they will grow organic vegetables. The corresponding agreement was signed between the Israeli company RAN and the Moldavian company ASCONI. In the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Moldova, they noted that the greenhouses will occupy 5 hectares of land and will work on the basis of advanced technologies.
The Israeli partner will ensure the know-how in production schemes and also sales in the EU markets for the next 10 years. The Moldavian company will guarantee land, labor force and will study the introduction of technological process. RAN Fresh Produce is the second largest company for organic produce in Israel, and specializes in growing and marketing organic fresh vegetables and fruit for export.
Farms and greenhouses under the company’s management are scattered throughout Israel, from the Arava and Kibbutz Nirim in the south, to the Galilee in the north. In addition, RAN owns a farm in Morocco, which produces high quality organic vegetables that are more difficult to grow in Israel, such as zucchini and cherry tomatoes.
