Brunei produce for fruit juice factory in Limbang

A Sarawak minister praised a Brunei firm yesterday for extending their cooperation with entrepreneurs in Limbang as well as to support a newly-opened fruit juice factory by supplying it with raw materials and marketing the final products in the Sultanate.
Datuk Hj Daud Hj Abd Rahman, Junior Minister in the Sarawak Chief Minister's Office cum Junior Minister of Industrial Development and Junior Minister of Religious Affairs said it was a welcoming gesture by the Brunei firm, AgriDev Sdn Bhd, in the zest to help their underprivileged neighbours in Limbang.
He urged for more cooperation between entrepreneurs of Brunei Darussalam and Limbang to take advantage of the huge halal food market estimated at US$3 trillion towards the needs of 1.6 billion Muslims worldwide.
"Food is a commodity which is not affected by recession. People will need to eat no matter what the state of economy the world is in," said Datuk Hj Daud at a breakfast hosted by AgriDev held at Purnama Hotel in Limbang.
The breakfast was attended by Director of AgriDev Hj Matzin Hj Salleh; Encik Henry Som, the Member of Parliament for Bukit Mas; Dr Hj Abd Rahman Ismail, Member of Sarawak State Assembly for Bukit Kota, Limbang District Resident Maria bin Hasman, and Dr Nanang the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Industrial Development.
The session was held prior to the official launching of the fruit juice factory in Kg Gadong, Limbang.
