California's strawberry production after the freeze increased faster than growers thought it would
The California Strawberry Commission said farmers produced about 11 million pounds more berries last week than they did the week before. Although farmers' strawberry plants survived the freeze, the farms hit hardest by frost may take five more weeks to reach full production, reported California Farm Bureau Federation.
