Earthcycle Positioned to Capture Large Portion of North American Packaging Market
Compostable packaging company aligns with well-known distributors
Monte Package Company and Enterprise Paper
Earthcycle, an innovative company that has developed eco-friendly packaging from a renewable resource called palm fiber, is pleased to announce strategic distributorship relationships with US-based Monte Package Company and Canadian-based Enterprise Paper. Earthcycle’s new distributor relationships will focus on expanding awareness of its completely compostable packaging line.
“With Monte and Enterprise on board as distributors, Earthcycle is positioned to provide growers, farm market operators, and retailers a full line of our products, offering first class service, support and a strong distribution network,” said Shannon Boase, President, Earthcycle. “I am excited to be aligned with two companies who will give valuable and targeted exposure to Earthcycle’s packaging solutions, while offering seamless integration with our client’s supply chains.”
Inspired by palm fiber – formerly considered a waste product and incinerated – Boase was compelled to introduce this agricultural biomass to the North American market. Since its inception in November 2005, Earthcycle’s durable packaging has proven to be an original and eco-friendly way of reducing the ever-growing packaging crisis that is the chief contributor to North America’s mounting waste problem. Having gained immediate momentum in the US – Earthcycle’s packaging is being used in select Wal-Mart, Whole Foods, Publix, Wild Oats, Capers and Henry’s Store locations.
Having joined forces with Monte Package Company and Enterprise Paper, Earthcycle is poised to better introduce its line of compostable packaging to new customers throughout North America.
Since 1925, the Monte family has been dedicated to manufacturing and supplying the finest produce containers available. With headquarters in the heart of Michigan’s diversified fruit belt, Monte Package Company is constantly aware of grower’s packaging needs as well as industry trends.
“The Monte family takes great pride in offering the newest and most efficient designs in packaging, and we feel strongly that Earthcycle’s packaging reflects our mandate, while ensuring we continue to expand our own packaging product line by offering alternatives to plastic,” explained Tony Monte, President, Monte Package Company. “As Earthcycle’s largest distributor in the eastern region of the US, we are committed to helping Earthcycle grow its business, while expanding its reach to a targeted customer audience.”
Enterprise Paper is one of the fastest growing paper distributors in Canada, offering new and innovative packaging ideas to their growing customer base. Located in western Canada, Enterprise Paper are proudly 100 percent Canadian owned and operated, servicing markets such as Food Processing, Food Service, Grocery/Wholesale, Manufacturing, Hotel/Motel Accommodation, Property Management and Janitorial Supply.
“Earthcycle packaging perfectly complements Enterprise’s existing innovative, high quality packaging lines,” said Ken Plumb, President, Enterprise Paper. “We are delighted to distribute Earthcycle’s range of packaging products to our established dealer network, providing a means to helping Earthcycle succeed at the same time as meeting the growing demand for environmentally responsible packaging.”
