Serbia: half production goes to export, Vino Zupa starts fruit processing
Aleksandrovac – With its record juices, fruit concentrate, alcohol and soft drinks export worth € 10 mil, Aleksandrovac-based Vino Zupa surpassed its foreign currency revenue 4 times last year compared to 2004.
The mentioned amount is a half the total income Aleksandrovac-based wine cellar generated last year, stressed Radimir Sljivic, the head of the Consortium, at the celebration organized on the occasion of Vino Zupa 5th anniversary.
In addition to these results, he said that Vino Zupa had difficulty in relieving the debt burden that was piling since the economic sanctions during 90s to privatization time in 2002.
This year planned investment amounts € 3 mln. The first steps that Vino Zupa will make in 2006 are to add pickled vegetables to its fruit range products. Favorable credit terms have also been offered to fruit producers, primarily to grape growers.
