Dutch capsicum, tomato season ends

2005 has been an unsettled year and absolutely one to forget as soon as possible! The bad prices, the oversupply and the many alternatives for the capsicum buyers are negative developments for the Dutch capsicum growers and consequently for Rainbow Growers Group as well.

Nowadays Rainbow Growers Group is busy with the import of the Israeli partner Green Arava. This import links up perfectly with the Dutch season: the year-round supply couldn’t have been carried out in a better way!

The growers’ association Green Arava grows in the same way as Rainbow: maximally ecological. Moreover, both growers’ associations have the ambition to produce capsicum of the highest quality and to supply this capsicum as directly as possible to the consumer.

After having received the first shipment, we can say that Green Arava absolutely comes up to these expectations! For more information please contact our sales managers Jessica Mulder (+31 (0)174-524110) or Joost van Schie (tel. +31 (0)174-524112).

The Dutch tomato on the vine season has ended

It has been the first time that the Dutch autumn production coincided with the Spanish and Moroccan production. For this reason the prices of the tomatoes have been very low until the end of the season.

Unlike Dutch capsicum and tomatoes, Dutch chillies are still available at Rainbow Growers Group: during winter season Rainbow grower Tom Baak grows the chillies under artificial light.

Furthermore, sales manager Leon Zwinkels can offer you Israeli chillies as well. For more information please don’t hesitate to give him a call: tel. +31 (0)174-524120.
