Brazil: orange juice exports soar in November
Frozen orange juice exports from Brazil last month registered a huge leap, according to recent figures.
The Brazilian Citrus Exporters Association (Abecitrus) said on Tuesday (20 December) that exports from the country in November were up by 155.72% on the corresponding period a year earlier, at 133,763 tonnes.
Exports of frozen concentrated orange juice from the beginning of the crop year in July until November reached 617,245 tonnes, up by 12.7% year-on-year the association noted.
Although the European Union maintained its position as top export market, shipments to non-traditional markets such as Asia, Oceania and the Middle East have increased in the period.
