Buy4Now continues with US expansion

Irish online shopping centre Buy4Now have agreed a E2m contract to provide an e-grocery solution to US food retailer Roche Brothers.

Buy4Now will provide an onine offering for the retailer's 18 stores in the Boston area, which will go live next month.

The contract is the second in the US for Buy4Now following its contract with A&P Group last year, one of the largest food retailers in the US, and the company said it expects to announce a third contract shortly.

As Roche Brother's online partner Buy4Now will supply the same software package it uses in Ireland for Superquinn.

With Enterprise Ireland assistance Buy4Now invested more than E1m in its software products to market itself to potential international clients.

Buy4Now was founded five years ago by Ali Murdoch and financially backed by Superquinn, eircom, Heiton group and private investors. The company has a Long Island office out of which its international business is based.
