Protests in fruit sector Catalonia

Fruit producers from Catalonia maintain their plans to go on strike next weeks. This to protest against the low prices perceived for their products and high fuel prices, which are weakening the sector.

Last week all participants and local authorities met in a round-table conference, but this was qualified a ´wast of time´ by the producers. According to producers organisation Unió de Pagesos there was spoken too much about ´philosophies, but not about solutions´.
