Qatar imposes import restrictions on Jordanian leafy vegetables

The Qatari Ministry of Health has mandated new conditions for the importation of "fresh leafy vegetables" from Jordan, highlighting the necessity for these imports to meet specific precautionary standards. The directive necessitates that each shipment is accompanied by a conformity certificate, issued by a Qatari Ministry of Health-approved third-party company based in Jordan. This measure aims to ensure that the levels of pesticide residues in the imported vegetables do not exceed the stipulated limits, serving as a safeguard to comply with health requirements.
