Data from the Peruvian Export Association (Adex) shows that the value of Peruvian Hass avocados exports reached 720 million USD between January and November last year. That is a growth of 22.7% in comparison with the previous year. Peru exports avocados to 30 countries worldwide.
The number one export destination for Peruvian avocados is the Netherlands, with the USA in second place, followed by Spain, the United Kingdom, Chile, and China. The value of Peruvian avocado exports to the Netherlands reached 265 million USD between January and November last year, and to the USA reached 175 million USD.
Chinese demand for Peruvian avocados continues to grow. The value of Peruvian avocado exports to China increased from 104 thousand USD in 2015 to 13.8 million in 2017.
