Fresh fruit booths still busy

Horti China 2018: Quiet last day

Today was the last day of Horti China 2018 and things were a bit quieter than on previous days, but there was still a buzz around the booths selling fruit or vegetable products. The Taiwanese booth was especially busy right up until the end of the day. Today the fair ended a bit earlier, at around three o’clock, when most booths started to be deconstructed.

In the morning, there were still plenty of booths present, ready to showcase their company and products to the visitors. Several companies prepared some samples to let the visitors taste their wares.

Hao Bo from the Honghe Changmiaowu Nongye Fazhan company mentioned: “We prepared some sweet potatoes in our little oven, in this way the visitors could really test how sweet and tasty our Yunnan sweet potatoes are. We already export to Europe and hope to grow our market share in China as well, therefore we participated in this exhibition. It is a good opportunity to introduce our products.”

Another company that took the opportunity to showcase their products was Hehe Nongye Keji Jituan. They had a tasting for their new kiwi fruit variety and it went very well. Wu Zhenwei explained: “These kinds of exhibitions are a really good place to test our new variety. We've already participated in four shows this year to promote and test our new kiwi variety. In this exhibition a lot of different kiwi fruit companies participated, and we've all organized some small samples for visitors to taste. In this way, people can also really compare different kinds of kiwi fruits and see which one they like best. We ourselves got a lot of positive feedback for our kiwifruit.”

In this exhibition, there were a lot of companies focused on apple, kiwi fruit and dragon fruit. Though the companies Jiangsu Paiyuan Nongye Keji and Anhui Jiangguoguoye Fazhan were displaying some special products, which meant they received plenty of attention. “Our main products are grapes and strawberries. Our main production areas are Nanjing, Anhui, Jiangsu and Hubei.”
